Byblos Bank Armenia has introduced a new and important feature that enables customers to quickly and easily block selected financial services and transactions available through Byblos Mobile.
The new "Transaction Blocking" feature is designed to help prevent fraud and provide an additional layer of protection for customers' financial resources.
Customers can instantly block one, several or all available services and transactions.
The Block Transactions feature is available for the following services:
- Loan disbursements
- Credit line activation
- Transfers and payments
- Cash withdrawal requests
- Card-to-card transfers
- Adding a card to a digital wallet
- Overdraft activation
- Opening an account
- Opening a digital card
- Linking a card issued by another bank
- Login from another device
To block a service or transaction:
- On the application's home screen, tap "Transaction Blocking"
- Select the service(s) or transaction(s) you wish to block
- Tap "Block" and confirm your selection
The selected service(s) or transaction(s) are blocked immediately. For security reasons, they can only be unblocked after 24 hours and upon successful customer identification.
Blocking a service does not freeze the funds in accounts. Customers can continue to view the balances of their accounts, deposits, and loans in Byblos Mobile. Transactions that have been blocked can still be performed by visiting any Byblos Bank Armenia branch.
For example, if a customer blocks Deposit Termination, the deposit balance remains visible in the Byblos Mobile app, and the customer can still terminate the deposit by visiting a Bank branch.
